Only 96 degrees yesterday. Still too darn hot. Trying for bobcat, coyote, or maybe a deer. Here is what showed up at the pond.
I don't recall seeing any of your work previously Tex and I am all the poorer for that. these are great shots - a pleasure to look at.
VHD-Tex, you have some great shots. These are very representative of Texas most of the year. I go agree that's it's just too hot. I keep waiting for our six to eight weeks of cooler weather (lol).
Is that last one a roadrunner? Nice series...at least the birds and chippies got to enjoy the watering hole, but at 96 degrees I can't imagine the water was too refreshing. ;-)

I really should not complain because it was 102 with a heat index about 106 last week. So I guess 96 could be called a "cold spell".
Love these beautiful shots and the captions. Been trying to send you folks some of our rain. We've had a system that's been sitting below us, but it's finally started to move your way. Hope it gets there but not as a storm.

Absolutely stunning shots, Vern! Did you take these at the Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge? I remember taking photos there back when I was a freshman studying photography at Pan Am ... around 1975.
