everyone else has their hummer pictures in UHH, so here is mine. My brother-in-law lives in the timber and all I had to do was set up with a tripod and remote trigger plus a cold beer and sit in the shade and pop away. There must be 100 hummers nesting in his back yard and they will fly within a foot of your head.

Good job, Dan! Refreshing angle... perched instead of in the air. Shows how beautiful those little critters really are!

Very nice shot! Now the trick is to sit close without a tripod or remote but still have beer in hand; then shoot.

I could do that for about 1 beer, after that I would drop the camera.

Now that would make for a great photo, you asleep in the chair, your camera on the ground, and a hummer sipping from your beer.

Dan, Nice shot and I'm envious. We don't have these little guys in Australia. 100 hummers nesting in the yard!!! Easy to take them for granted I guess, but I'd kill to see just one. Thanks for posting.

Thank you all for the comments, but I think I'll have to give up on the hummers, I have a hangover and so do the hummers.

100 is a strech, but there were as many as 4 at a feeder at a time. Sorry about no hummers, but you do have Roos and we don't so post some pictures of them.
