My little zoo...

Just sat for a little while in the back yard to see if I could get a hummingbird shot. Got that and a few more...
Still learning from good folks like you...shot with my canon 60d, borrowed 28-300L from a friend, handheld, ISO 400, various shutter speeds...and just waited.
C&C welcome, very new, and you folks are great teachers.
This is my male guarding the juice.
Here he takes a bit to refresh.
Then, this guy drops into the yard to visit...a Cooper's Hawk
Jumps to the fence and spies a lizard in my wood pile.
"Litte Bit" wanders out for a stroll.
Last thing to drop in...a Bluebird.
Delightful images and very enjoyable to get a tour of your backyard zoo!
Some might suggest cropping. For #1, I think it's perfect as is. Many varied opinions on use of negative space - in fact I started a topic on it a couple of days ago if you're interested:

Thanks for that info Linda, makes great sense. In my learning, I'm realizing there's "yet one more thing" to think about in all the photography stuff... What's hard for me is keeping track of all those things. One of these days, photo by photo, it's gonna come together!
Your photos are nice. I agree with you,as i am learning too, it takes time and patience. Keep shooting and posting, i try to as much as i can.
