I posted a photo of an Old Barn a while back. The barn was leaning and has now fallen.
The first 2 shots were taken this past week.
The 3rd shot (with the barn standing, but leaning) was taken in October, 2012 -- just to compare.

All taken with Canon 50D, 18-55 mm lens.

I have been watching my old barn slowly fall a little at a time. It is so heartbreaking to watch. I have photos of it when it was in its full glory but not yet ready to post its demise. Thank you for sharing these. Nice job

Thanks for your comments, KMosteller. There are still a lot of old barns around, but they are becoming fewer by the year. Now some farmer will likely put a flame to the remains of this one.

I know. The owners of this barn could still take the good parts of this barn and build a little shed or something out of it. That's what I wanted to do with whats left of my barn. Unfortunetly there are no boards really good enough to do that any more

It's a shame someone didn't keep this old barn up.

Some thing to try is making picture frames out of the short boards. When I was a kid my dad and I took an old barn apart piece by piece and he used all of the lumber and the posts and beams to build a barn that still stands today. These old relics are a standing memento of life the way it was 100 plus years ago now we will have to find a use for it in the next 100 years.

Wow, that 's quite a feat taken by you and your dad. I really wish more farm owners would take a greater interest in these old barns and houses. Once they are gone, they're never coming back. I appreciate your comments Sdaupanner.

Excellent series of photos. I love old barns, and agree that they're becoming fewer and fewer in number as they met their ultimate demise.
