One more quick change.... The horizon divides this photo in half. An old, tried and true rule of photography is to either pull the horizon up to the 1/3 line at top or drop it to the lower 1/3 line. I've made a quick adjustment to the horizon. Thanks for taking us on your vacation! Gorgeous!

I just joined this site a few days ago. The first thing I looked at was the contre-jour contest photographs. Yours stood out in my mind as one of the best.
My sister-in-law has a place on the outer banks in SC. She has a balcony on her deck where we toast the sun going down in the evening with a glass of wine. Your beautiful shot took me there.

Welcome to the Hog, John! (Hopefully, we'll soon be "best hogs." I'm sure we'll want to meet on your sis's balcony to raise a toast to oceans, goblets and pixels!)
