The Grand Teton, at 13,775 feet (4,199 m),is the highest point of the Teton Range, and the second highest peak in Wyoming. The mountain is entirely within the Snake River drainage basin, which it feeds by several local creeks and glaciers. The Teton Range is a sub-range of the Rocky Mountains, which extend from southern Alaska to northern New Mexico.

Stunning photograph. Outstanding composition and color. I go to this sight to look at the pictures for ideas and inspiration to help me grow as a photographer. This is one of the most beautiful photographs I've seen so far. I hope to see more of your work on this site in the future.

I've climbed this beautiful peak and taken many photos of it from all angles but none have ever even come close to your amazing image that you are showing here. It kind of makes it all worth it to get up before dawn huh? Great shot!

Thanks to all for your kind remarks. Teton National Park is a "magical place" and one that I've been in love with since my first visit there 50 years ago. And, yes, it's worth getting up when it's still dark (and cold) to see and photograph things most tourists will ever see, except in photographs.I have several more photos of my special places there and will be posting more from time-to-time. Thanks again.

Fantastic picture! Was there post production done to it? And if yes, what? Cheers.
