1.5x in-camera teleconverter = 1800 mm. Slightly cropped. 1/400 sec
1.5x heavily cropped because I had to back off to regain focus

Wonderful shots of a very pretty little bird, Linda. I've only see 2 hummingbirds so far this year & neither of them in my yard. Sure hope they aren't as scarce around here as the Monarchs are this year.

You caught them sitting, nice! We do not have this type of humming bird in my area, loved seeing them!

Thank you all so much for the kind words. I greatly appreciate your comments!
This site is a demo garden maintained by a local volunteer group. It offers gorgeous flowers of many types, and last fall I enjoyed using my new 55-250 mm on the SLR to get some pretty flower close-ups with interesting bokeh. Today with the super-zoom it was, "Bring on the birds!"

What do you bribe them with?? Burgers??
Now I am really getting mad, everyone is posting photos of Hummingbirds. I put up a feeder two weeks ago and haven't gotten one shot yet. Good job Linda!! :D :D
