I noticed a Cormorant land next to a young Osprey perched on a sign in the lagoon. I was on my pontoon boat so I moved closer to see what would happen. The Cormorant convinced the Osprey to leave. The Osprey flew around for a few minutes and then landed on a nearby piling. The Cormorant came after the Osprey again and took over the piling. I'm posting 12 photos of this event....for the BIF folks.
I hope you find this as entertaining as I did. I used the Canon 7D with the Tamron SP 70-300mm lens.
Thanks Linda! It was interesting to watch. After the second round, the osprey flew about 100 yards to a mangrove tree and the cormorant remained behind to enjoy his conquered territory. :)
