Is it me or is anyone else having difficulty ascribing values to the Custom Settings selection on the D800?
I want to set up Bank B to revert to my HDR settings as described in the link below.
When I release the shutter, I want the camera to wait 3 seconds and then I want the D800 to enter into a 3 exposure bracketing burst , 1 F-stop above and 1 below metered level. Store it and get ready for another 3 exposure burst.
Can this be done. The link below indicates it can.
Automating this HDR process selection will significantly enhance the real estate photography I do.
I have read the D800 manual and even bought Thom Hogan's book. It is all very confusing. Can anyone give me a hand here or direct me to a simpler method?
Thanks!

Have you tried it? The tutorial is accurate and I do HDR using Custom Setting bank B. There are a few idiosyncrasies that must be learned by experience, but first you must just get started. Then we can move into the details.
I have tried (I RTFM'ed) but the selections didn't seem to save/work...
The self-timer and the auto-bracket didn't seem to save.
Is there a button to push to SAVE the selections to Custom Setting B?

On the D600, the books and online tutorials emphasize the fact that you must push that center button in the Multiselector to Save. Otherwise, it all goes away. Your D800 might be the same.
Aha! Makes Sense!
Big thanks!

Even a couple of the video instructors said they got caught by that one.
