I'm planning to enter some photos in our local fair competition. I'd be interested in impressions and suggestions on which landscape to enter.

I wish I was standing there taking #3 I'd step over 6 inches and take another picture, and again, and again till, till I fell down I guess. I would think a foot apart might make the most incredible 3D SBS photo on Earth. The Tip of that tree would be breath taking and the 3D view on the water. The Blue Ice photo is the best 2D btw its a little dark at the top and bottom the file might be bigger then my house though you could crop it. I want pictures of that six inches apart too. I'll bet you got them hid somewhere and don't know it. All great photos, thank you for sharing.

2 is nice, but the subject is centered, and I'd crop out the road in the lower right corner. This will also help with the centered subject, lowering it in the frame.

I like 3 the best...but I'd be tempted to try and pull some more details out of the shadows on the left side...probably with a local adjustment.

The 4th shot is great too...but it doesn't really scream landscape to me...

Great shots overall...I'd be really happy with them. You should print them large!

Thanks!

I have some other angles. I may need to crop or clone the road. They say "no manmade objects" on landscapes. I'm trying to find out if that includes roads.

I have lots of most of them.

I sent the panorama off to Bay Photo for a metallic print to see what it looks like.

The photos have to be prints and are limited to 11x14 or, for panorama, to 5x15. I can submit three photos in different categories. There is a separate panorama category.

If you have the funds available, iAcrylic.net does an amazing job with images laminated to a 1/2 or 3/4" thick polished acrylic sheet. They can do metallic prints too.

Having been to Alaska and probably been the same road to get a shot of the north side of Denali, I like this one. Also, was in Death Valley area in the spring, I can relate to the panorama. Thank you fro sharing!

I too was in death valley earlier this year and marveled at the photo opportunities. I do have options from there I considered for landscapes also. Not to muddy things but I'll post one or two.

The panorama is taken closer to home (Idaho) though: in the painted hills in Oregon. It was an overcast day and had rained a bit so the colors were really brought out.

I like Moraine Lake most because of the reflections and composition.

Several seem to like Denali. I especially appreciate ideas on how to improve. I don't know if they'll accept cloning out the road (if anyone would know) but I prefer it.

Better?

(BTW locals say you almost never get to see the big one this clearly. It was like this for the three days we were there in June.)
