We Have Lift Off Houston!

Walking through my kitchen I noticed this little Sparrow sitting on the railing. The second photo was actually first and when he got tired of me I caught him in liftoff position, first photo. I had just picked up my camera to put it away when I saw the bird. All fluffed up and sleeping. I had to shoot this through one of the double panes of glass in the door. Didn't expect much going through the glass, but got more then I thought I would. I cropped out the door frame and the hour glass curtain. Otherwise I left it alone.

Not bad for glass doors. Your Sparrow is a juvenile Northern Mockingbird.

Hey, I got it right. It's a bird. Lol. I feed them and have all species. I found one in a rose bush a few years ago. He had one feather on his head. Raised him until he migrated in the fall. I have no idea what he was either, except a bird. I was happy to get that much through 2 panes of glass.

Great shots, I never have any luck with these kind of shots. Beautiful.

Great shots. I often shoot through my double pane garage window. Not National Geo quality but I get to sit with a tripod, remote and a coffee. Great way to start the day. Life is good.

I have no idea how that background occurred. There were actually trees, sky, and outdoor stuff. Technical term. I just shot fast without checking settings as birds aren't know for cooperation. I have some humming bird shots to prove that point. Nice to know about the glass though. In the days of film I wouldn't have wasted the medium, so digital is great.
