When our boat docked at Haines, Alaska, one of our fellow hoggers was there to meet me. TGanner (Tom) is a photo guide in Haines and we had corresponded for several months about my stop there. He took me to one of his favorite hang-outs: an eagles nest with a growing family in it.
Just as I was getting set up to photograph the nest, Tom told me to be on the lookout; he could hear the papa eagle calling as he returned to the nest.
I swung the camera in the direction of the sound and there was the male eagle with a huge salmon in his grip. After he dropped supper into the nest, he posed before flying off. Meanwhile momma is feeding junior.
Many thanks to Tom. He's a generous and interesting individual. If you ever get to Haines, tell him hi for me.

Thank you Linda. Honestly, virtually everyone we met in Alaska made us feel right at home. A great state and great people.

What great photo's and what a nice host you had! Love how you narrated the photo's. We will be going on a cruise to Alaska next year, I am hoping we are able to get safely close to the wild life, if not we will have to go back! Thanks for sharing your photos.
