Hello Jeester
It was really only a quick 5min job as I think sometimes by cloning from the photo gives a more realistic texture to the editing.
Anyway I will give your suggestions a go when I have a bit more time.

yes, i agree that cloning will utilize/copy the current pattern of colors which is significant ... like when you have a very close-up of cat's eyes
we have lots of tools and usually, for me, it requires a combination of tools to get realistic results
good luck

Why would you want to change the dog's eye color...It is a Christmas photo and the "green" eyes are festive..hehe

I like this version best.

This does not appears to be a young dog. Any eye correction should not be deep black but slightly pale grey/blue as all dog's eye colors are at that age.

Love the global color shift in some 'corrections'.

This is the first time since she "found me" that I have given Jasmine such treatment. Four years ago, she was 20 pounds under weight, almost dead from hearworms, and has major wounds on her neck. The rescue shelter that I volunteered with brought her to an "adoptathon." I was asked to "handle" her. Over a period of three "adoptathon," she still had not found a home. Her gentle, loving nature was amazing. We are now best friends.

What a cool story.

I have Photo Elements 10 and Picassa 3. I would like to make some copies for my family and friends. Of course I was using a flash..SB600. Can someone help me "fix" the eyes or show me where I can learn to do that? I would really appreciate it.

I used Photoshop 10 and cloned the eyes in from the color in her nose. I also cloned highlights in from the gray color around her eyes. What a cutie she is! I sharpened the photo and added a frame. Hope you like it. Sue

You won't be friends long if you keep dressing her like Liberace. Just kidding. Kudos for volunteering with a shelter. You turned a potential tragedy into a love story. Thanks for sharing your picture and your inspirational story.

Danillo - well done. That makes all the difference. Would it be too much to let mlj download your photo to give to her family?

The dog's green eyes are caused by envy-
Envious of his K9 buddies who don't get dressed up like this. We went through this with our dog until he hired a lawyer. His hot dog costume is now retired.

As I look at your avatar, I get confused. Around here, the most popular breed seems to be a pug. I always thought yours was a pug in a long ha-haired dachshund (hot dog) costume.

Definitely a pug.
