I had hoped for the same but unseasonably wet weather over a week or two and the nest was empty. The babies were in the bush (at least two) and learning to fly - I could never get a shot.

Guess I have to finish trimming that hedge now! :)

The bird had a strange sound so I think y'all nailed it. "Once youve heard its catty mew you wont forget it"

Too bad... it would have been nice to have discovered them at their hatching or shortly thereafter... nice shots from your window... I have shot from my windows on occasion. :-D
