This tells us why Democrats want gun control so badly

You just gotta love it. Can't argue with statistics. Or Democrats!
In 1863 a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States.
In 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States who later died from the wound.
In 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States.
In 1975 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States.
In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan.
In 1984 James Huberty a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds restaurant.
In 1986 Patrick Sherril a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 15 people in an Oklahoma post office.
In 1990 James Pough a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 10 people at a GMAC office.
In 1991 George Hennard a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 23 people in a Lubys cafeteria.
In 1995 James Daniel Simpson a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 5 coworkers in a Texas laboratory.
In 1999 Larry Asbrook a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 8 people at a church service.
In 2001 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at the White House in a failed attempt to kill George W. Bush, President of the US.
In 2003 Douglas Williams a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 7 people at a Lockheed Martin plant.
In 2007 a registered Democrat named Seung - Hui Cho shot and killed 32 people in Virginia Tech .
In 2010 a mentally ill registered Democrat named Jared Lee Loughner shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed 6 others.
In 2011 a registered Democrat named James Holmes went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people.
In 2012 Andrew Engeldinger a disgruntled Democrat shot and killed 7 people in Minneapolis.
In 2013 a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza shot and killed 26 people in a school.
One could go on, but you get the point, even if the media does not.
Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns.
No NRA member, Tea Party member, or Republican conservatives are involved.
SOLUTION: It should be illegal for Democrats to own guns. Best idea I've seen.

Very Good idea and while we're at it let's stop the Liberal Democrat base in Hollywood from using guns and violence to sensational killings in the movies. That is where all these young people learn how to do those things. And yet, they want the rest of us to be left defenseless?

Makes lots of sense to me??

I am absolutely amazed at the level of anger, hatred and vile comments directed at liberals, democrats, and Obama on this site. Don't hate me just because I have different opinions than you do. Your level of hated is not good for the country and is not healthy for you!

Unfortunately, liberals like you tend to confuse hatred with facts, when it doesn't fit your hyperbole. Unfortunate!:(

It's all about the person, not the weapon...

I know you've never been confused. You always have the real true facts and are never wrong about anything. The rest of us are in awe of your perfection!

Right on. Chris Matthews spent some time last night on the hatred directed to OBama--probably because of his color. This "aint" what America is supposed to be all about. And as far as Democrats and gun control, who else has been trying to stop the massacres by guns--certainly not those in the NRA's bag? Cant we have some compromise in this country. We need family counseling--all of us together.

Thomas Jefferson

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” (Quoting Cesare Beccaria)

Thomas Jefferson lived in a different time. There were no super automatic machine guns or large capacity clips. His words were good then, but not now. There were no Columbines, Newtowns or movie theatre massacres then. We need to deal with today's issues, not do a Scalia.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th century because of gun control: 56 million.
You won’t see this data on the U.S. evening news or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. By:: DOUG GILES

Thomas Jefferson stated that the constitution should be rewritten every 19 years. His reasoning was that new generations should not be ruled by the departed. Jefferson had the wisdom and foresight to realize that times change and laws must also change. Conservatives who love to refer to the founding fathers never mention this!

Laws are written for the Law abiding people. As long as the Government can't warranty the bad guys are not going to have guns I could accept their belief that no guns in hands of decent people could make some sense...If the law maker can not give us that warranty, there is no moral ground to even think on anti-guns measures. I accept to regulate the kind of guns you can own... That is it.
