Has anyone else on this thread noticed how easily the lefties on here get their feelings hurt? Take the original photo that started this thread, it simply suggests, rather tongue in cheek, that prisons are a liberal paradise. It starts off saying that they treat everyone the same, that sounds like the liberal idea of paradise to me. Everyone is the same no one gets rich, because their lives are under the control of the warden (i.e. the government). However, even in prison, there are ways to get rich, drugs & cigarettes become the currency and sources of power. If you have the most cigarettes or drugs, you do that by being smarter and likely more ruthless than the other guys. Uh oh, that sounds like that evil capitalistic thing creeping in doesn’t it? How offensive, why can’t they just play nice?

Then there’s the free food, clothing, medical / health care, aren’t these the same programs that liberal/progressives push for through welfare programs? Yet the lefties who’ve commented on here seem to be offended by the correlation between prison and their silly social programs. They just don’t understand that when you sell your soul to the government for all that free stuff, you are now enslaved to the government. Just like the slaves on the plantations, maybe that’s why some on the right have started calling it the liberal plantation. Oh gee, I hope that didn’t offend anyone.

And finally only the police and guards have guns, isn’t that exactly what gun control laws are all about? Us law abiding gun owners just can’t be trusted with those scary old guns that so many liberals seem to be too afraid to even touch. Anything they don’t understand or don’t like should be outlawed. I find it easier to understand why women tend to be liberal, it’s in their nature to want to take care of others and protect their brood from harm. Liberal men are a mystery to me, they seem more like the eunuchs of Greece or Rome completely emasculated and content to be harem attendants and just go along with whatever the women want. Ever see those big 4X4 pickups with a plastic nut sack dangling off the bumper? That’s just a liberal who has no balls of his own, so he puts a plastic pair on a big truck to try to fool the rest of us into thinking he’s really a macho man.

So despite the really clever parallels shown between a liberal utopia and life in prison, the irony totally escapes those on the left, and the best they can muster in response is feigned outrage, hurt feelings and lame brained attacks against the right. Pounder, thank you for the cleaver post and to all the bleeding hearts out there, I’m sure we’re all very sorry that this offended your girlie sensitivities. NOT!

One last thought, nothing anyone has said to me on this forum has ever hurt or offended me. What others say or think of me is of no importance to me, because it’s not about me, it’s about the other person. The fact is that if you are offended by what others say or think, then you have low self esteem and since you are accepting their words or thoughts as truth, it only makes you feel worse about yourself or your beliefs, and therefore it hurts your feelings. Since I have a healthy self image, and I'm secure in my own world view and intelligence, I don’t accept any of the names or slurs others on this board have thrown my way, it has never hurt or offended me.

The comparison between prison and Progressive utopia is so close to the truth and is why the progressives here balked so hard. Their busybody agenda through government force is repulsive and when revealed for what it really is it truly is a prison concealed within a phony wrapper of compassion. It is a death sentence of forced dependence constrained to a very gray world.

I thought the image was funny. It shows the paranoia of those on the right. The really funny thing about the topics covered in the image is that most people in this country would experience an increase in their quality of life if those principles actually came to pass outside of the prison system. Healthcare, clean food and water and streets free from danger of firearms in the hands of untrained or mentally unstable individuals. Gee that does sound great...unless your a paranoid delusional member of the Republican party who has been completely manipulated by the corporate sponsors of their party.

Folks like Rixpix have a complete lack of social skills and are of the mentality that if they aren't getting their way or you disagree with them, then there are no boundaries when it comes to decorum, he will display the most mean, vial, and contemptible behavior imaginable. This fellow has no compunction about spouting vial things like "My hope for you is to be gang raped in prison as I am sure that you will end up there eventually." that quote was directed at another poster on another thread who had a point that Rix couldn't respond to in a civil manner, so he naturally reverted to that intellectual place where he seems most comfortable, which is somewhere lower than a snakes belly in a wagon rut.
