There owners manuals are garbage...go on Amazon and get D7000 Field Guide...great book. Have used one for all my nikons.
Have fun,

My D7000 factory manual is indispensable for detailed instruction on controls. True, it is not a photographic instruction manual, they are not intended to be. But Nikons manual specifics are at the head of the industry, my manual is stashed inside the lid of my Pelican case at all times, as is my Field Guide. Both are referred to regularly, especially during all those moments waiting for the right light with nothing better to do.

Same here about 2weeks ago. Lots of paperwork and CD etc.
Alow me to be more specific. I didn't intend to imply the Nikon factory manual was garbage by agreeing with another post that in part stated such.
I was simply remarking at the virtues of the field guide which is very well written. My apologies if I was mis-understood.
MT, What pelican case is that

MT, thats a nice camera case. Who makes it?, or is it custom. Thanks Don
Hey Don,
Its the Pelican Tundra. 14" x 22" x 9" thick. Waterproof, atmospheric protected, room for 2 bodies, 6 lenses, flash, accessories, manuals, several filters, spare battery packs, straps, anything you need for several days in the field. As you can see in this pic its always ready to grab and go whenever the need, or urge, arises. Weighs about 45 pounds as is though, so needless to say it is used primarily on a motorized trip. I use a LowePro Photo Trekker for my back country expeditions.
Armed and dangerous! LOL
Darn, you were right! Armed and very dangerous. A case that size could lead to the nikon syndrome. At least you have it pretty much filled up. I hope it's motorized! LOL. Thanks, Merry Christmas, Don

I have the same case in black for my medium format.. LOL Keeps me from getting confused when I am heading out the door. They are both almost 30 years old and still function like new, great equipment is always worth the price.

Concerned: If there wasn't a manual in the box - I can only wonder who was in the box before you were. Send it back to Adorama and request a refund, as you have {obviously} received returned goods - repacked (incompletely) and reshipped to you. Or - - request they send you a replacement.

Most reputable companies would resell as open-box/returned/refurbished items. Not as new!

The Magic Lantern book is fantastic! I haven't refered to the manual even once since getting the book.
Adorama enjoys a great reputation; however, mistakes can happen anywhere. It is possible this is a restock and you'd be smart to ask for a replacement. And consider yourself lucky that the manual was missing.
Please come back and post it once you get a successful resolution to this topic. Here's hoping Helen from Customer Svc can work some magic to help this guy out.
Thanks for all of your concerns Adorama is going to make it good !!!! yea. it was just a big shipping nightmare.
