Sunset with Raindrops

This is the sunset from by backyard last night. I used my Canon point & shoot and didn't realize the flash was set to auto. There was a light rain just starting when I shot. The white spots are the flash reflections in the raindrops. I found the design in the reflection very interesting. Has anyone seen this before?

did you take this thru a window... looks like to flash lit up the drops on the glass.....or a fairly fast shutter speed of the drops

It was not taken through a window. It was taken from my open deck. You can read the metadata if you download it. f2.8, 1/60 sec, ISO 200, flash. (Canon SD1000).

Flash can "freeze" motion. Electronic flash is "on" for about 1/1000 a sec so those raindrops were exposed for that time while the rest of the scene was the slower shutter speed. What I like about this shot is you can actually see the refraction pattern in the upper large raindrop.
