I have been lurking for about 6 months now. I tried to post several months ago. I think I found a shrinking program that will work. However it takes some of the quality out of the pictures. What do others do for sending pics or posting? I am using an inexpensive Fujifilm S 4000 14 MP and NEVER on auto. Might take me 10 to get one but I can think of no other way to learn. Please feel free to critique away.........thanks all and Merry Christmas

Pic # 1 and # 2 are very nice indeed.

Pic # 3 I didn't like the fingers on the lower right. Thought they detracted from a nice composition.

What Sarge said.

The second is my favorite but without the fingers in the third it would have been a tossup.

Good shootin' none the less.

3 nice pics. The lake looks so relaxing and the beast is a good example of a very proficient close up. To be honest, I did not even notice the fingers in the watch pix as the rest of the composition was so good.

I dont post pix that often but just send the as they come off my Canon EOS50D. They dont cause any problems.

Had to look for a bit to realize that the fingers are a reflection, I can see the camera lens now also. If there was a big diamond on one of those fingers it would've been in keeping with the pictures theme, Time.

Hi Ian, that one by the lake is at Powersite Park in Forsyth Mo. The concrete slab is my fathers favorite spot to fish. I would so love to have a picture of him fishing there. However, each time he sees a camera he gets into goofy mode. Both of my 76 year old parents live on the property. I am very fortunate to still have them and get to spend quality time with them. Maybe you and I will have to go to lunch when you move here and talk pictures.

I use Lightroom...it has an export function that allows resizing.

Sounds good to me, last time I was in Branson I ate at the Golden Corall and put on two or three pounds in one go!

I am getting married to one of the UGLY HEDGEHOG posters in spring and so will be out taking pix as much as possible and Eureka Springs and War Eagle Mill are high on the priority list. Would be good to have another photographer along too.

All three are good. I didn't notice the fingers or the camera lens reflection until others mentioned them. You could post-process them out, and I suppose you should if you're planning on selling the prints. But I thought you captured a sense of a past time and nice textures.

Mgstrawn and RMM, I appreciate you taking the time to look and respond. In the watch photo my intentions were to make the watch look as if it was floating in mid-air. I feel that without the reflection of the fingers and camera it may not have had the effect. I placed the watch on a mirror for this one. The watch is from the 1930's. It was my wife's grandfathers. She uses it daily at Joe's Crabshack here at the Landing ( the waterfront outdoor mall ) here in Branson MO. The dang little timepiece keeps perfect time. Post processing programs that you use or like?
