Looking for an anti-theft shoulder strap that has a wire cable built into the strap to prevent the strap from being cut and your gear ends up running down the street.
I see a few that fit over the neck but I want the shoulder type like Black Rapid. I didn't see any make by BR. A little help please, thanking you all in advance.
I bought one at REI. I imagine you could go cross-body with it. I don't know what brand it is.

I wouldn't go anywhere where I feared my camera being cut from my person. If they didn't get it on the first slash I may be the second cut. JMHO.

Try Sunsniper. Its a Black Rapid clone. There are models with a security wire to prevent theft. I have one. Unique Photo used to have them in NJ. B&H carries some of their models including the Sunbounce Sun-Sniper Strap Pro for around $82 which includes the security wire. Here is Sunsniper's website

I guess one can never be too careful. I imagine good insurance and a decent P&S as a back up is the best protection.
I've never been anywhere, where I thought my camera strap might be cut. But then again I've only been to thirty countries, so I probably don't count.
Of the 25,000 hogs, have YOU ever had a strap cut? Not a friend or friend of a freind, but you?
Not saying one shouldn't use a cutless strap, but where does it stop?
Just saying. SS
My ex-wife had one cut on the London metro some years ago. Didn't realize the camera was gone until she reached for the camera to take a picture. I wasn't there , but my kids told me about it.
Thanks for your replies, urban shooting one just never knows. In the forest I guess you don't need an anti-theft shoulder strap unless a raccoon decides to chew through the strap!
Thanks for the website info.

I seen a bumper sticker on a truck one time that stated " you touch'a my truck'a, I break'a you face!". Maybe you should have a T shirt printed with the same statement about your camera.
Might help, who knows for sure, OY!
My Tee is printed with "I SHOOT RAW"

Judging from the reviews the Model 200 is the newer upgraded version that is better made. I just bought two.
Photo Bert sells them inexpensively. They are good looking and padded. Just search for Photo Bert as I don't know his web address
