Novice to digital photography. I am hoping to pick up a few tips to improve the quality of my photos. I do not expect to ever try to sell any and use any for profit. I just want my family and friends come up with the ooh's and ahh's when they look at my work. I am always open to pointers on improving.

welcome clarence. This is a great site lots of freindly helpfull people and some really talented photographers. Just jump right in post some of your work be sure to comment on others even if it just to say you like it. But it helps to say WHY you like it . good luck
I would agree with the other post {I usually do}, but also please free if and why you don't like something. Even if you can't say what it is. I have a great appreciation in regard to the insight and intuition of humans - often more so then the logical, rational part.

They have a logical rational part? six years in law enforcement I dont think i saw that once. Not even from the other cops.
