This trial only happened to show Zimmerman was innocent - the police had already investigated the incident and came to the same conclusion the jury did. The trial was to appease the public with a jury's findings.

Went to church yesterday. one of the young men who is black walked in hugged another person and said don't worry there will be justice for trayvon. Now I know who the real racists are in church. He was the only one who brought up the subject

I'm glad I wasn't on the jury because it would have been a difficult decision. We have the several versions of the "facts" presented by Zimmerman at various times. Martin is no longer here to give us his version of the "facts".

This is real and how fast our news stations want to be the first to get anything on the TV. I can NOT believe that a news station could so easily be pranked.

What I do not know,as I have not been following too closely,...did Zimmerman belong to an official comunity neighbourhood watch and was on a shift, or was he self appointed , which puts yet another slant on it.
In my community we have an organised,well trained,group of volunteers..also a marked vehicle etc....I sure would not like it if someone was roaming around guarding the neighbourhood with his own set of ideas...AND carrying a gun.... Odd...

Sorry...I meant Gorgehiker.....but I am not crazy about Republicans logo...Zimmerman killed the boy without any human feeling or consideration...(the victims history should not enter into the events of that moment). It is a form of ethnic cleansing as some people fear blacks...now let's see what comes of that....come on you racists..let,s hear it.

The Media, Black leaders, the President, Dept of Justice and the Democratic party are responsible for the mess. Instead of allowing the system to do the due process, all the above added fuel to the fire. It was the election time and it worked well for all the above parties.

Please reread my comment because I think you misunderstood it and perhaps I did not express myself well in my satire. I was hoping to point out how ridiculous it is to demonize a teenager for interest in guns, fighting and/or smoking pot. I wish that our teens (and adults) could avoid all three of these interests and the world would be a much better place. But I am a realist and I realize that that is not the world in which we live.
In responding to the original post in this thread, I was hoping to express that the stated "facts" are not quite so factual. It is a huge problem in this country that too many people believe what they want to believe without rationally and objectively considering the evidence from all sides. None of us knows for certain what happened on the night that Trayvon Martin was killed. Only George Zimmerman knows and he has given several versions of the "truth".
I did get quite a kick out of your referral to me as "Repub" - that's a first in my almost 60 years on earth!
I have a question for the real "Repubs" out there. How can you criticize a black youth for an interest in guns when you so promote them to your own children and everyone else?

I'm sorry I didn't follow the Zimmerman thing so I won't comment on whether I think he's guilty or innocent but I will say every commentator I heard should be shot simply because they were trying to incite riots and because they proved their ignorance of journalism. Talk about racism - put that blame right where it belongs - with the a--holes trying to start more violence.
