I saw a Canon with a nice fat fingerprint on the mirror at my local Wally World. That was at the one that actually had a few micro four thirds cameras. The other one in town had a big heading "Mirrorless Cameras" above the DSLRs.
I worked in the supermarkets most of my life- it is prime pickings for the pro purse & wallet stealers - so many times we have had customers get to the check stands and find their wallet gone & think they left it home or in the car. Also teams work the stores to find some one not paying attention to their purse - one- a woman- will have a VERY large purse that the victims will fit right into - out the front door they go to an awaiting getaway car. More money in this than shop lifting.

That can happen at any store in any part of this country

yes, minimum wage workers are not the highest skilled. most dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, or trained employees.

Junk store , refuse to shop there, destroyed a lot of businesses , the mighty dollar
In Yukia, CA there is a nice friendly neighborhood shopping center - totally empty - a couple three blocks east is a WalMart - Concord, CA refused to give into WalMart as they paid attention to the destruction of local business in the areas where WalMart operated- no tax breaks - no license to operate= no store.

I'm with dpullum, our Wally World is just down the street, the greeters are almost like neighbors, the camera lady is very knowledgeable and helpful, making sure I got what I wanted. We have no camera store with in many miles, so I got hands on experience with the camera. Not fair to use their merchandise and then go somewhere else to buy it. Frankly if I were a retailer of any size I would be unhappy with kind of treatment. WalMart has done some not so cool things, but they have been and are major a reason we can buy cheaper in the store on the internet.

Had friends and relatives that worked a Wally's for a time. None do now.
Why? Couldn't they get health insurance?

I went to Wal-Mart to by some Thistle seed for my finches, I could not find any kind of seed. They told me bird seed is seasonal.
Of course, like when the swallows come back to Capistrano. :D

Are those photography questions?
Good point. Got carried away by the Walmart bashers. Won't happen again.:-)
Thinker? Wally didn't do it, WE the shoppers who frequent the store do all the things they are accused of. If the world did not shop there and shopped in their local stores that would not have happen. It the workers could find a better job I guess they would be working there. The local stores did not support their workers much better then the big box do. It is the shoppers that do it. Big stores are like the shoppers they take advantage of whatever will better their purses. It is not just wally it is all of us. Let us take responsibility for our behavior. Mean while back to the camera and fun of pictures...

I would never buy anything at Walmart. My understanding is that -they pay their help very poorly, offer very little in health benifits. Most likely their suppliers use factories like the one that collapsed.
Good for you! I used to work for wal mart a couple of years ago. I left just as they were starting to really stick it to the associates. They were cutting hours on those working part time. There were people who were getting fewer than 8 to 10 hours for a week. If you are part time your insurance is unaffordable. When I went from full time to part time my insurance shot from $40.00 every two weeks to over $100.00 every two weeks. Never again. Oh and by the way, many items for sell in these stores usually have something deactivated to make them inoperable for the most part. Look at irons sometime.
