Good Morning, Have found old UZI and he just sprung into life when I put the batteries in.
So now to order another filter. I have an extension lens that has a 52mm step up ring. Did you use the filter right onto the 49mm that has a thread?

Yes, I have a 49mm Hoya R72 I screwed right on to the UZI. I used this same filter held up against the lens of my new Fuji X10 (thanks for that idea), and tried IR with that camera. It looks promising but IR conditions were poor at best today and it is supposed to rain tomorrow, maybe Wednesday I can give the Fuji an IR shakedown...

I like your IR photos a lot. A nice mix of foliage, water, and man made items. They look well composed, nice & sharp, and you have the highlights under control. Did you say you captured these on film?

Eric: Glad you liked the IR photos. They were all taken with digital cameras, mostly the old Hewlett-Packard 945 equipped with a Hoya IR filter.

Hello all. Sorry not to have been very active lately but my husband has had health problems and somehow I have not managed to be very camera active. BUT we did have a weekend in Chattanooga in April and yes the old UZI with his IR filter came too. We went to Look Out Mountain and here are some of the results.

You'll love it. It's like having a new toy. Be sure to set a custom white balance using grass as your "white." Otherwise, everything will be red. The pp possibilites are endless! :thumbup:

Looks like you could do either false color or B&W with your images.

False (or faux) color involves either channel swapping for a blue tinted image or going in and laboriously hand coloring an image in post processing. If you have some color in your images, and several of yours did have color, it make the process easier.
I am not trying to hijack your thread but I will post a few examples of what I'm talking about because, "A picture is worth..."
If you are interested I can share with you what I remember about false color processing. It takes a lot of time, about 30-45 minutes per image but the results are unique.

One I started to color and never finished, I now use it as an example of a 'work in progress'.
Channel swapped for a blue tint.
One last hand tinted false color.

Good Morning Eric,
I did put in color with Photoshop, but I have also, in the past but am thinking of starting again,coloring with pastels, paints etc. I enjoyed doing it but very time consuming. Are your computer generated?
