hummm, another who's upset about helping out the beginners on here :| I basically come here for the help from others as well as many others who are asking for help... and you get frustrated? When I finish a photo to either sell or give away, I adhere a sticker (which I created) which says, "Photo by ....., artistry by God.

rockin robin i agree with you that providing f2.8 at 1/500 sec iso 100 with a full moon and drinking starbucks dark roast is totaly useless info BUT having been treated like i spat on the pope for daring to suggest that exposures vary and the better idea is to get a basic book on exposure and study it. my advice to you is to knod polietly and keep that opinion to yourself or risk being treated like custer at custers last stand. look at how unjustifiably jwilliams got over your comment. I guess its free speech unless you are arguing about something the masses dont like. Look at it this way the info provides comfort to the newbies like a life preserver in an airliner.

Yes, I do get frustrated because I too am a NOVICE and take photos for the joy of taking them. I am NOT a professional photographer. I am learning, as are a lot of others on this website and seeking their opinions. It's not that I don't WANT to post the info, I just didn't know where to look for it. But the lost is found <ha!> and I can now post the info with my photos. Your 2cents is welcomed and if you choose to not comment, so be it. I believe that this verse really fits here. When I take nature or landscape photos, I want to do the best I can to show the majesty of His creation.

Every time I photograph nature shots this comes to mind. It's perfections and imperfections are all from the hand of God. It's all as it was meant to be whichever category it falls in. One of my favorite quotes from the great Ansel Adams is:
"Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter."

The best way to answer this question and that's to let a few photos tell the story. I have so many to share but can only offer a few examples of why I think my Faith plays a part in my photography.

I want to express how encouraging it is to experience the willingness of so many to express what is, so often, left unsaid for various reasons. Sinatraman, I think I know sonme of what you live through. It is my belief that you are exactly where God has you for reasons we will only some day ever know. I agree whole-heartedly with Roger Allen in that it is very apparent that your photography and other talents are already used for ministry (some people have no sense of humor). In keeping with the spirit of this site, I will post two of my own photos as symbolic of our value to the One who created us all. In a way, I think He seees us as "color in an otherwise colorless world". I also believe we have been given our various talents as a light...an energy to effect those around us with His Spirit.

amen brother. Faboulous shots. almost missed the one colored flower, and your second shot gives off a meditative calming mood. I do love your testimony. sometimes before praying or when im feeling down i'll look at some of work and I rember that God grranted me a gift. this helps with my black moods as churchill called it. He and Lincon both suffererd mfrom depression.
