A BIG no-no here in florida...but they will relocate anything over 4' that is annoying to crops, people, or domestic animals. Guess they figure a 4' isn't going to bother anything...except cats, small dogs, babies...only kidding...cats are too smart to get that close. ;-)

In Florida it is a Federal Offense to kill an Alligator. Hunts are held sometimes but it is strictly regulated.

I just moved to N.E. FL a year ago, and look for these "guys" all the time. No luck so far (except for okeefenokee), but I'd really like to see one in the wild.
