Can someone please tell me what kind of bird this is? I took this picture at the Miami Zoo and neglected to look at the type of bird it was. Thank you.

It's a Secretary Bird

The bird you show is a secretary bird, but look at the beak which is much like a hawk, and the other bird's beak is strait, and not a secretary bird. I don't know and will wait to see what other come up with. L3

yep you are so right ... I found this one but it only calls it a metro zoo bird so its no help but I think it is the same bird.

On the website photogrl offered they call it a Masked Lapwing (Vanellus miles). Hope this helps!

That birds linage reflects a very friendly family tree, perhaps the welcome wagon to all migrating birds in the area...strange breed.

LOL . . . it must be because my secretary screams exactly like that. Must be screaming about bringing the boss some coffee. The large mouth gives it away. No, wait, it is the rare Bobsgirlfriendus Exmodelus bird. Responds well to a large mirrors and being constantly told, "Pretty bird, pretty bird."
