E- download software question

I have down loaded Aperture and the Nik suite on my Mac. Right now my time will not allow for the learning curve needed to use these programs so as a result i have this beautiful new 27" Mac sitting around since March with 10 photos on it. (health care issues with mom leaves me no spare time at all) I was always comfortable with Picasa on my old PC. This is my first Mac and I am anxious to get all of my photos transferred from my old PC laptop before it dies. If I download Picasa on the Mac will it peacefully coexist with Aperture or should I delete Aperture and the Nik suite first ? If I did delete the two can I re-download them at any time being that I paid for them? If you suggest leaving them on the Mac, and for now I use Picasa as my default PP will I slowly be able to import my photos over to Aperture as time allows me to grow into that program? As always thanks in advance to all of the fellow UHHers that take the time to help me.

They should all peaceful coexist. If you purchased aperture from the apples app store you can dl it anytime for free. Nik i believe which was gotten from google should be the same you probable have some type of serial number. If in doubt email NIK from their support page. Good luck with your Mac and hope your mom's health care issues get better
