I've not had a TV since 2001. There just wasn't anything to watch worth paying money to cable or the electric company. The internet provides me more than even TV could provide in the way of news, informational videos, etc. Sure, I may not get to see those shows on release, but most all of the ones I want to see, I can find on either youtube, Discovery, BBC, etc.

Every once in a while, I'll be visiting a friend, or at the pub, and catch a bit of a show. I can't believe the crap they are broadcasting and calling entertainment.

I hate going into a restaurant, or any type of business, and being stuck with whatever TV show they decide to put on.

It is a shame to have such state of the art TV and drivel to watch. The best
the TV industry can cook up one manure casserole after another. We need more
nourishing thing like this.

Great video clips. This is why we shouldn't downplay and ignore the video capabilities of our high-end cameras. Video montages can be fun too.

Every night and day we sit and moan about the rubbish being passed off
as commercials that we are forced to watch by our commercial networks.
If only we could make commercials like this one there would be no
complaints forthcoming. This really is Magic. Enjoy

David Attenborough does it again!

What a stunning commercial from BBC !

Thank you!!! I am a level seven top contributer on Yahoo Answer and I hate it when someone posts a question with a url 2 and more lines long and expects me to type all that garbage because it,s not a clickable link. Have seen that on BBC America, in fact on there now watching Top Gear. Great job.

Dusty, I would think a level seven top contributer (contributor?) on Yahoo Answer would be familiar with highlight, copy and paste.

I was thinking the same thing too, but then I remembered how touchy that kind of operation can be on a hyperlink. You really need some normal space or text to highlight a hyperlink without opening it. For those who have this problem, put a space and any character after the hyperlink, highlight the character back through the hyperlink, then back out the character and space before hitting cut, copy or paste. Sounds sophomoric, but some people never learn about these little tips.

When you,re sitting in a Waffle House having coffee and doing answer on a Casio Brigade cell phone, you don't have a bunch of computer bells and whistles. Sorry for typo in above, missed it. Ah, but can always find someone to correct me.

Yes if it was a matter of highlighting a hyperlink but in the original post it was just a typed line that required highlighting.

There was a series of prog on BBC not long ago and it was called 'Wild Cameramen At Work' and in it the cameramen were describing how and what they did to get their footage. it was fascinating - you might be able to watch it on iplayer here

EDIT: i see that this is for the series starting on BBC Wales, we had it in Scotland a few weeks ago so keep your eye on BBC and you might get it in England soon.

Phenomenal photography and the equipment must be out of this world - but matched by the skill and patience of the photographers. It must take a special breed of photographer to do this sort of quality.

Every program you see where a presenter struggles up a mountain, or down into a tight cave - there is a photographer at the end (with his equipment). I would very much like to see a program about these special people - I am sure that it would probably be more interesting than some of the actual programs.
