keeps a smile on my face! One of the adult eagles was on the hunt and decided to rest on the side of the cliff on our side of the river. I went down to where I thought it had landed and to my surprise it just sat there! My friend Dennis and I shot for about 5 minutes while it just sat there! This does not happen very often.
Fantastic group of pictures! Thanks for sharing such a magnificent bird with us. Cheers.

I really believe only special people get to witness these. Thanks for letting us have a look.

It was 10 minutes of pure pleasure! That's how long the eagle sat there for us!

Just so many things that are terrific about these shots. Of course, the composition is spot on and technically they are top notch shots.
What I enjoy so much -- aside from the huge number/variety of poses you got -- is that the background is not the unfortunate blown out sky not a tangle of branches. You had a clear shot on an amazing palette of colors - especially the cliff in the first shot. The sky is a rich grey that is a perfect foil for the bird.
You got luck to add to your skill and have an amazing set. I am sure these will be precious for years to come.
Thank you for sharing this delightful set.
Thanks! Just a note, the grey is actually the river below. We were on a cliff looking down river.
