What I find irritating is his total oblivion to his own hypocrisy, he’s the first to jump someone for their lack of manners but when someone points out his lack of manners he starts with his right to say what he wants and it’s a public forum bla, bla, bla.

But the term 'god' is still a construct of people. People wrote the bible. People decided we had to have a god. There have been many gods. Hindi gods etc, so why is The God the only one? Who decided that? If God decided that or 'it's in the bible' then it's a circular argument.
It all comes down to what you believe. I choose NOT to believe fairy stories written in the 'bible'. You choose to believe them. And so it goes.

If God does not truly exist, why are men prone to want one. If there were no God, why would man find it necessary to create one.

Why when you do something wrong, do you feel bad about it. Only because wrong really exists. If wrong did not exist, you would never realize it.

So yes there is a God, not just any god, but the one of the Hebrew Bible. His name is Jesus. :)

I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful to anyone exchanging ideas in our forum here, but I created this post in order to address our disappearing liberties, and freedoms to live out our Christian lives.
(seems no other religious sects, or group in general are suffering from measures to silence, and denounce the existence thereof that religion.... anywhere near like Christians are).
So the point of the post was to look at the 69 measures of documented attack... on what just happens to be Christianity by a supposed Christian 'president' of our country, and to discuss the 69 attacks, and to measure what, and why it is happening, and what to do about it.
Atheist or Christian, or spaghetti monster worshipper....What is our government attempting to do...why?...and do they have that right?...what does it mean for liberty?
Every time Christianity comes up as any part of any topic on UHH... it seems the topic disappears, and the discussion turns into the UHH seculars attempting to bash the believers for their faith.
Well you immature anti-Christ zealots need to somehow get past your hatred of believers, respect their rights, and analyze the situation as if something protected, and cherished by you seculars...BY LAW was being attacked, and to give a shit for something other than your prideful bigotry intent on attacking Christians instead of addressing the topic as a concerned friend of someone who's constitutional rights are in question.

There has been not one comment made on the 69 infringements, and what about them.
WE KNOW YOU AREN'T CHRISTIAN, and think belief in GOD is stupid WE GET THAT...point is I don't give a shit about that, but I do care about our rights as written in our country...is there any difference for you pagans?
Anyways, I am probably in the wrong forum for anything but hummingbird feeder pictures...which are great so don't get me wrong.

On the man in the White House. I would debate with you on whether he is Muslim, or Atheist, but definitely not Christian. You will know them, by the fruits they bear.

As far as rights go, well that has been a short lived privilege. Did the Jews give our Lord any rights!, they tried and convicted him illegally. Jesus told those who follow him, as the World has hated him, also will they hate those who follow him.

We have been very fortunate in this country, not so in the rest of the World. Do we now consider ourselves better than they, or even our Lord. The Apostles thought it a privilege to suffer for their faith in Jesus. Should we not ???.

Steve40,
You would get no debate from me on weather B.O. is a Muslim or not.
If he is (for me) it only confirms further that he is big trouble for Christians, and America as a whole.
I have never found Islam to be a good influence on human nature, and increasingly the evidence is pouring in that this cult is very nasty, and is told not to accept any other faith as acceptable.
Which is ok on the surface, the World has always had varying views and cultures who have lived and let live with differences between cultures and religions, but unlike other religions, there is no loving outreach involved with Islam, no patience.
Muslims are told to lie, and kill those unlike themselves, to place Islam at the top of the totem pole of religions.
No other Holy book tells it's followers to go to any measures of that sort to move the faith forward.
Your points about persecution in the past are interesting and true. You are right about our resolve to deal with persecution as even Jesus's own Apostles had to.
Thank you for putting some perspective on the reality that Christ is in control, and is not surprised, by the persecution, and in fact we need patience to endure the doubters....and worse.

Steve,
You really don't want to go there, atheists will not understand and you'll only give them more fodder to mock our Lord with. :-(

Pepper....Why would they doubt that He would speak to His believers? It is our personal relationshiip with him that not only gave us our faith to begin with but continues to strengthen it. On the rare occasion, as the result of prayer, God will communicate inaudibly, yet undeniably. I have hesitated to mention it in the past, but it has been a wonderful part of my relationship with God. Like I said, it is rare....in over 40 years it has happened maybe 4 times, but they have been at significant times and have been significant directions about my life.

They deny His existence. I completely understand what you're saying I've had a similar experience but prefer not to discuss it in an environment where it would be totally disrespected, misunderstood and mocked. I will say to you however that it does indeed provide the proof that many claim doesn't exist. I guess that's why I have a hard time getting upset with them, they don't understand as it's hidden from them,,,sad.

My point JR1 is that you state opinion as though it’s fact. You’re always bitching about a lack of manners by other members. You attempt to invalidate a belief system based on your opinion which of course is a pretty arrogant position to take not to mention rude and insensitive. So I’m suggesting you take your sermons on manners and stick them where the sun doesn’t shine.

Well then how about you quit complaining about the manners of others? You continually complain about the posts of others why would you not follow your own advice? Can we assume then from this that from now on instead of whining about the manners of others that instead you’ll just ignore their post and move on? I’ll watch with interest.

A perfect response Pepper. Some folks simply will not look in a mirror, perhaps so as not to come face to face with their own bald faced hypocrisy. 8-)
