I probably get 50 of these a day in my junk mail folder...while I look at the subject lines...(because some of them are hysterical..."FBI has issued a warrant for your arrest...reply immediately") I never open them...lots of scary viruses out there.

On occasion, one of these gets through my spam filter. I copy and paste it into a response from an email address I have set up for just such nonsense. One that I received from a bank in Nigeria was from a VP of some department assigned to disperse funds from some account,....etc.
I wrote back stating that I was a photographer and by great fortune was going to be on assignment in the very country from which he was writing. I even went so far as to state areas in which I'd be photographing and the subjects of the photographs (Google Earth is wonderful).
Instead of having to pay the transfer fee, I offered to stop by the bank and meet with him in person. All I'd need is the address of the bank and his office phone number and I'd call once I arrived and we could make arrangements. I even offered to take him out to dinner at a restaurant of his choice after the transaction. I figured I owed him at least that much for his troubles.
Never heard back from him.

Would you give them my banking information too?
When I got a letter, offering me a special discount on a extended warranty, for a truck that I haven't owned for seven years. I gave them a call and thanked them for supporting the U.S. Postal Service.

I do get these about every 2 weeks. I have responded to them
but they are bounced back in about 30 seconds or I receive no
response.
I just delete them now.

Wish there was someway of sending these to some government agency. Maybe then there would be something done about this after they get flooded with millions of Emails like this. There should be a law against these and the a--holes on TV that promise the products they sell are money back and work exactly as expected.I'd run head long to the poles to vote for the guy that could stop all the false advertising that goes on in this country.

Hi,
The USA news media is reporting that the Govt. is reading/ scanning all the emails and internet communications.
Google is one of the companies reportedly involved so, just out of interest, I have just tried doing a google search on sentences taken at random from the current newsletter. They are all there. Take a look at the result from your statement above:

No No No dont even think about it. This scam is been around for some time. Some time its slightly differant. The key is the card. They will ask for info to make you a card. They use the card to clean you out and you get nothing. Beware There is no free lunch.
