Hi Beamer, welcome to the hog....What a very interesting first post. All i can say is the little black spot at the top right corner of the picture needs to be taken out. NOW, How many limbs will the foot at the bottom of the picture grow. From what i see, once it grows, it might look fairly good but hopefully it wont have to many leaves because it would block out the horizon....LOL.

Don't you just love all the advice??? Welcome and keep shooting. I retire the end of August and I am looking forward to it so much. I have a feeling my bicycle and I will be good camera friends before long. The foot adds interest to me. Points the way to relaxation.

That looks like fresh water. If it were the ocean, you'd have "one foot above sea level." :) I like your photo, but agree about cropping the foot; to me, it's distracting.

welcome beamer, enjoy retirement and wilson is 100% correct do not tell anyone your retired, someone is always finding something for you to do because you have "extra" time :thumbup: :thumbup:

Welcome and congratulations on your retirement. I'm not sure I like the foot, but there seems to be an errant toe in the lower right corner, and a patch of black in the upper right corner that I would have cropped out. Keep shooting and posting.

I've taken shots like that, too, Beamer, just for fun! One was my kitty on my lap watching tv with me and you can see the back of his head and my foot...with red nail polish on it, too! :)

The foot makes the photo for me. Otherwise just another nice scenery shot. As such, I would crop it slightly to remove the right upper corner and make the foot just a bit more prominent. Welcome.

Audioguy, you are new here, and, although your pictures are very good, i have to ask if you asked Beamer's permission to use his thread to post your pictures? If not, you need to ask the persons permission to add your shots to their thread or open a new one of your own.
