In central Arizona, near Prescott, a fire is burning out of control. The other day it went from 500 acres to 5000 acres in a matter of hours. There is a mountain separating me from Prescott, but the smoke had a profound effect on the sunset.
My heart and prays go out for you all. Thanks for the pics even with this sad event. Mother Nature is awesome

The last one is stunning for the range of color in the troubled skies. I'd just heard visitors were told to leave Grand Canyon NP - I assume only the southern entrance.
Stay safe and Thank You for sharing.(I did like them all!)
Thank you for your comments and kind thoughts for the people. Last I heard, even though hundreds have been evacuated, No people or homes had been harmed.
Ten years ago, we had a fire that covered over half a million acres. It was amazing. Again, I lived away from danger, but the town was the location for people displaced by the fire. People really are very generous and helpful, even though we seldom hear about it.
Some great shots...both I & II.
Thank you. The smoke makes for some amazing sunsets.

Good shots within that fire. It's beautiful and horrible at the same time buckwheat!
Great shots Buckwheat. I am not sure which one I like the best. I am leaning towards 2 and 3.
