Spray it with PAM and use it for a toboggan.
I can't see it clearly enough to tell if there are tiny little rootlets along the length of the stems (?roots)....if there are, it looks suspiciously like poison ivy vines which can grow in a similar pattern....up a tree trunk. Poison ivy vines are filled with urisol ( not sure of spelling) very dangerous to touch or even burn. Are you certain what kind of roots these are? Just trying to keep things safe.
(I'm terribly allergic....been there done that with similar appearing roots that turned out to be poison ivy in my case)
If not poison ivy....unleash your creativity! :)
I would pressure wash it to blow off all the fine roots and bark next I would pull a black leaf bag over each end, put it in the sun , each day I would take the bags off turn them inside out and put them back on, do this for a week or more and it will be dehydrated and will weight about 1/3 of what it did when you started, next I would leave it in the house to finish drying for 2 weeks, at this point I would trim and shape according to where I wanted to put it ether hang it on the wall or use as a center piece ( conversation piece ) next stain and use a spray varnish. nice find.
Maybe you could cut some pieces off and paint it and then use it at Halloween lol.
Do you have a wood burning fire place ?
Drop it in an ocean or lake and let it become drift wood.

This was taken from a felled tree simply because it looked interesting. Am gonna clean it up and stain it, but what should I do with it?
It measures 48x60 inches...suggestions for use...
Its great looking. Mount it on a pedestal as a work of art in the front of your place. It will make a terrific focal point!
Oh, man...........I'd get my friend in Florida to send me a whole passel of air plants and have an air plant-planter. Wish I could make a find like that.

Maybe sprinkle it with catnip and watch the catshow.

It would look nice as a support for clematis and/or ivy.
Looking at some of the answers, I think you are in the wrong place for ideas. Find some sites for wood carvers or wood artists, I'll bet you would get ton of ideas.
It will be worth it.

I was thinking similar to you, loves. How about a chair back? It'd have to be supported in some way of course.
