Great work, I've tried shooting stain glass many times on trips across the pond, but tend to blow out the bright portion of the glass. What settings did you use ?

I like St George and the dragon. Yes fire breathing dragons did exist. It is in the bible in the old testament. I cant figure the one that depicts the man that they are putting the screw to.

The figure here is the martyrdom of St Erasmus, a third century bishop (hence bishop's mitre lying on the ground). He suffered many tortures and eventually died whilst (allegedly) having his innards removed through his stomach by, traditionally a windlass, though this image portrays an instrument more like an auger. Though I guess it could be seen as a spindle with rope coiled round it.
(Also "Google" St Elmo. Hope this helps)

Excellent work
I also find stained glass is not easy without problems of flair etc..
the "cheat way" I have some success with is: tripod mounted multi exposures at different levels , even down to -5EV then selective brushing through in photoshop
