I had a photo published in Shutterbug magazine back in June of 2009. It was the first time I had ever sent one in and was I ever surprised when they used it for their backlighting assignment. So I thought-hey this is easy- have sent many more in since then-to no avail!
They are beautiful! Could you include an original also?
here is the original --taken in my backyard
thanks for looking
Interesting that they flipped it.

I am thinking I maybe took a couple different shots of this and I posted a different one here from the original one I had sent in to the magazine. I remember taking this one morning and really liked it and put some feed down there to get my horse to stand there a little longer--but he must have switched directions!
The magazines a lot of time flip the photos to make them look better on the page. In this case the horse looking right would have drawn your eye off the page instead of into it. Notice the birds are facing into the page also. No way to know if they have been flipped or not, but the direction the birds are facing draws your eye into the page.

Trees are the same in both photos, but the horse has turned 180-degrees.
OK this will clear things up for us! I posted the wrong shot when asked to see the original--the magazine did not rotate the horse.
Sorry about that. Here is the original
