What are some of the best software packages for table top books and why?

I have used BLURB several times and have always been pleased with them. I have done 20 page, soft cover books, as well as 242 page, hard cover with dust jacket. Their color reproduction of my photos was right on the money!

I have used both Trueprint and Aldi here in the UK. Both have been acceptable for the quality.

I was able to use both of these with a Groupon deal giving 50% off.

I have used both Blurb and Shutterfly. I liked the cover and binding of Shutterfly, but Blurb was actually a bit less expensive. Both are quite good. Shutterfly put a UPC code on the back so when they are inventoried in stores they are easily scanned.

"My Publisher". Have done many high quality photo books through them. Software is very user friendly, prices reasonable. Sometimes 2 for one. CJ7

I have used BLURB several times. Vacation pictures of China, Italy, the east coast and the mid west to name a few. Our latest use of Blurb was our youngest son's wedding pictures. The photographer shot the wedding and put the pictures on a CD. I then used it to make the kids wedding album. It came out great at a reasonable price. Not to mention it was more personable. You also have the choice of paper quality. Hardware is easy to use.

Use InDesign for layout and then publish through some place like Blurb

Shutterfly and Picaboo are both excellent quality. I liked Shutterfly's layout options a little better. Both also do excellent cards.

I've used Shutterfly and LuLu.com. Did a blanket with Shutterfly and was very pleased with quality. I would recommend both and they are comparable in price.

I have used Shutterfly on numerous occasions. In one instance, some of the pages came loose. I contacted Shutterfly and they replaced it at no charge...excellent customer service. Haven't had any further problems.

I agree. Blurb does a great job. My 3 linen-bound and dust-jacketed books make me really proud.
