Ragarm: You've pretty much described the pic - no more analysis needed. Some images are just what they are - beautiful beyond description. This one is simply eye and senses candy.

Wow, I didn't even see this section... Thank you all for such great feedback on my "something green" shot.
When I was looking through the competition, I thought... mine is a long-shot! There were so many eye-popping shots that were equally as good.
If anyone is interested, my shot was taken at the Japanese Garden in Portland OR in May of 2011. Not surprisingly, it was an overcast day which added to the deep rich colors from the defused light. I did a 3 second exposure at f/22 using a polarizing filter with an ISO = 100. The equipment I used was a Canon 50D with a 17-40mm f/4L lens zoomed to 40mm.
Like all my shots, this is a JPG image, and I did some minor tweaks using ACDSee Pro. I do not use RAW for any of my images.
Again, thanks to all who commented.
