A 1972 article in popular mechanics about a gentleman building a 1/12 scale model of a steam locomotive inspired a similar project recently on the Olympic Peninsula. The model train with it’s working steam engine provided entertainment to over 300 people this past Saturday. Building the engine and cars along with the track that it would run on was a real labor of love by a dedicated team of steam-engine loving people.

This is a picture of my husband and his 91 year old mom...she has alzheimers but still responds to him. He gave her a new sweatshirt and she leaned over and touched his forheadwith her own.
