Scremin Scott, does ThinkTank have any sales during the year?
I'm sure they probably do. They do occasionally hold "giveaways" on their Facebook page too.....

Hope I'm not moving too far from the OP. I'm glad to see this question too.
I've been waiting for something to come up on Craigslist, looking at eBay, etc. hoping to get a decent deal.
But I appreciate mooseeyes comment about staying away from traditional camera bags...etc. Always wondered about that.
In going non-traditional as an option, what do you do for padding, and dividing compartments?
I've bought a camera bag "insert" on EBay.
It cost like 15.00 and I inserted it into a
nice funky, modern diaper bag; for the different pockets and such.
It's bright and cheerful and looks NOTHING like my other
Nikon black bags. I can fit Nikon D600 with 24-70 attached.
2 other lenses and flash, along with pockets for my phone and such.
I have the large Ape case bag and it holds everything I have or need.
However, I can't carry it all when loaded.
I thought the Capturing Couture bags at Adorama are neat for women
, but not 200$ neat! That's why I started searching for the inserts.
I believe they make them to fit normal messenger style bags.
They're well protected and work well also.
Personally I prefer a top loader shoulder bag. Back packs are great for backpacking, but useless for frequent in and out for gear. I use a Lowepro 12, holds 2 rigs, lenses, filters, spare batteries, tool for tripod, media, etc.
High Folks. The suggestions to get a nondescript bag is interesting. Now where can one find, purchase material for making cushion inserts?

Can someone help me find a large camera bag to buy that can hold 2 DSLRs with lenses and flash. Thank you!
ttheme: I tend to also follow mooseyes' suggestion. I use large sturdy tote bags with zipper compartments, North Face back pack (can also take my iPad in this!), and large handbags. For protection, I use the padded dividers from my camera bags...or bubble wrap...or mailing foam...I can add the stuff I carry in my handbag as well.

Believe it or not, I have used a diaper bag. The walls are usually padded, the bottle holders hold the lens. Plenty of zipable pouches for wipes, extra cards, batteries. NOBODY will steal it! And the price is very low.
Why didn't I think I something like that. What a good idea.

The prices I see on North Face makes them pricy and cost wise equal to a good name brand camera bag. You do still get the normal looking bag though.

deej: yep, my NF was pricey, but for the price it has multiple uses...I had a myriad of color choices and it doesn't look like a camera bag...I took it on my recent trip to Israel with camera, two lenses, and extra accessories. I carried my passport, money, etc....and always had it on my person....not too heavy and had my lip gloss too!

That's exactly what I use. A diaper bag along with an insert I bought on EBay.
The idea that people wouldn't be so inclined to steal a diaper bag enticed me.
At least not like they would if they knew expensive gear was inside.
Go on Ebay and search for camera bag inserts.
There will be many that show up. Most I believe are made to fit messenger bags. As you said above, you can beat all of the pockets for bottles. My flashes slide right in those pockets.

Thanks for all this information! Lots of ideas here.
I just purchased a "Think Tank Airport Security rolling bag that is holding the following: D-800, an old D-100, SB-28 & SB-700 flash, Nikon lenses 12-120, 70-200F.2.8, 300 F2.8,
80-400 F: 4.5-5.6,a Tokina 16-28 F2.8. Sigma 150mm F2.8 Macro, a Sirui carbon fiber monopod with ball head, various and sundry miscellanous items. and still have some rtoom left. It is a good thing it's on wheels as it must weigh at least 40 lbs. How's that for a "big bag"?

Why did you choose your Think Tank Airport Security Rolling Camera Bag over the Airport TakeOff™ Rolling Camera Bag?
