There is something very dry and very impersonal in all the pictures. While we all know this is Christmas some do not seem to know that Christmas is a mix of unwanted gifts and other clutter...

WHERE is the clutter?

A detail? Nope, think about it.

Okay people I knew there was something not right about the lighting, and I said I was gonna try it the next night with the flash off. So here ya go critique all ya want, or compliments would be nice too.

another thing I like is when it appears like they're decorating the tree, but i dont pose them, ill have them decorating, and ill have the dad bring up a funny story, saying to the kids, remember when....then i start shooting as they're decorating and laughing

An exercise in gravity???

Original, folks are having fun...

You have an obvious talent to connect with people, a great talent even. Now if you could just add a midge of Christmas clutter to hide that bare, cold floor...

(Not you problem but man's shoe are... well, what can I say?) Might want to correct that? (Note: my shoes look worse)

On the photographic side? As the topic says: Crisp, precise, professional.

Earlier you certainly got few compliments, so- The light distribution is better, tree adds more seasonal cheer, expressions seem more genuine, dog nice touch, Ive been sent a lot worse.
That being said - towards showing your in best light to friends and cousins consider; the pix shown 5 faces, ten arms, ten hands, ten legs all loosely piled; consider dressing up a bit for your friends. Might try turning mom 3/4 left and bring her close to dad and looking over right r. shoulder to camera - understate white shirt's body with similar turn and dark clothes - slide most of pink shirt child behind dad with r. hand only on dad. - bring red shirt more erect (kneeling) to shield white shirt's bod and dad's r. leg. Arrange to hide arms and legs behind some body with a hand here and there resting lovingly on someone else. Move the people pyramid closer to camera, - if you have space try a light on tree to brighten it and spill over all heads to define them. Let the tree focus go, isn't it for mood only?
When you get pose and light you like rip off many many shots by remote or friend so at least one pic will be mutually agreeable. The cute dog, you likely don't want to flock him white, so maybe hold on dad's l. knee or in red(?) shirt's arms.
You look like a happy American family...try to present all best.

Is there any possible way to add the clutter? Since I already took the picture. They probably wouldnt wont to do a redo. And about the mans shoe how could I correct it?
