Denver has such a great history from the "Old West" days but does not capitalize on it. We have William F. Cody aka Buffalo Bill buried right in our backyard on Lookout Mountain!
Does it get many guests thee?
We went out on a 4000 mile trip an wanted to see the snow capped mountains in July. (By car) Which we did. Seen the place where they made Cores beer from the mountain spring water. Denver
Some other state, Had old west museum an places of the Outlaws. We did enjoy them.. But we found them by accident which folks don't seem interested in.
Found Corn Palace , everything made from corn.
Out west 5 times by car.
Colorado gets many tourists from all over the state and world. But the ski resorts probably carry the state for overall numbers. There are also many gun shows and a few Old West shows/auctions. We also get a great turnout every year for the National Western Stock Show.
But the history of the state is not well taught in the schools and many of the old timers are dying off. Many of the ranches that have been in families for generations are being sold off as a result.
The purpose of my photo business is to revive interest in the West and make sure our heritage and Western spirit survive.
Thank you.....looking forward to exploring here.
