Black and White Still a Classic?

I have taken many photos of various subjects from landscapes to people. I have shown my pics to friends and to my girlfriend. Everyone likes my b&w photos the best. Tell me what you think.

Try this. Show a group of photos both B&W and Color then wait 30 min and ask what photos folks remember. Most of the remembered ones will be B&W - Dave

I really like the first one. The second is really cute and well done but suggest you watch keeping the image level. I realize you were capturing the group quickly but do try to be aware of the lines in the background. The background of the 3rd picture doesn't work for me but I thinK that you did well and they are good B&W's. I would encourage you to continue, and as others have stated, become aware of what would be a good black and white and what would be better left in color.
