As mentioned in my previous post, here are some images of the other famous Sydney icon. I will be there in a couple of weeks time again and hope to get shots from the bridge itself. Enjoy.

Thank you all for looking and commenting. I appreciate that. I was a bit disappointed after uploading and viewing the images as they look less sharp. I am pleased you are downloading them to view. I have a hard time myself selecting a favourite. A couple of you mentioned #2 which was taken from atop a hill and at a time when the sun is on its way down. The lighting quality is superb when the sun peeped from behind the clouds and there are so much to explore in that image. It was a lovely warmish day and the two girls were having a picnic and chit chat, and were there for a long time.

What enjoyable scenes and all different. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite either but all make me feel like I am glad to be there. The leisure scene at night especially, just a warm night and enjoying the view, the wine and company.

Yes, it is a fantastic backdrop to have a leisurely dinner, wine and great company. Compositionally, this is a classic. The rails lead you to the diners, then over the bridge to the lit pylon and follow the pylon reflection in the water back to the start of the rails, where you can repeat the journey.

Hilltop is really good. But for some reason I can't explain Leisure Living is my favorite.

Thank you ron. I think it is because of the lead-in lines in the composition. That's why I put alot of store in them, the rule of thirds, etc because they have been found to be most pleasing to look at in an image and they have been used in centuries of art for that reason.

Addition: If I was taller, I would be able to give a bit more space in the midground, have a bit more separation between the end of the rails and the bridge and'lift' the water horizon further away from the mid-line.

I also like Leisure Living, due to the mood it sets with the lighting, scenery, and folks enjoying an evening together. The one thing, I'm unsure about is the movement of the individuals, and makes me wonder if a Ghost correction was not used; if one would help. I'm thinking the movement was due to a slow shutter speed, and then it remains as it is.
