Just wondering .... did any of our UGH readers ever take a picture of Elvis? Or any other famous person?

Well, I have several I took of our brother-in-law who saved our country from communism back in 1945. They made a TV series about his life. Anyone here old enough to remember the show "I Led Three Lives?" The show was about Herbert A Philbrick who was an agent for the FBI. Just happens he was also a professional photographer. Not many knew that about him.
I also took pictures of the old Blackwood Brothers and Statesmen quartets back in the 50s. We used to eat supper with them now and then at a restaurant before their performance in Birmingham Alabama.
I'd have to look any of those up.
A friend who is a horse trainer worked Elvis' horse to exhibit him at the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration several years ago. Pricilla is in the photo with the horse and the trainer. I have that picture, but I was not the photographer in that case.

I got a shot of Ed Anderson of "Chico N the Man" while shooting the inauguration of Jimmy Carter back in 77. Sorry that I can't share it with right now. Its tucked away with all of my other negatives.

While returning from the Korean (war) Conflict, on a converted liberty ship, along with 1,400 other troops, the speakers carried music from the states. I was playing chess with a buddy in the day room, when this noise billed as music came rolling out of the speakers. We both looked at each other and said "what the ---- was that? It was Elvis the Pelvis. We had received our first treatment as given by the King.

I have a few of ELVIS --but they are just on-stage snapshots with poor lighting.
The first time I saw him my mom and Dad took me- we were in the 4th row -floor- at the Buffalo Auditorium-- Dad picked me up (I was 5) walked up to the stage Elvis knelt down and squeezed my hand--we always wondered if a pic of that would surface but back in the 60's cameras weren't as popular as today.
I saw him again with my mom in Niagara Falls in the early 70's-- I have my poor pics, (Kodak 126) ticket stub, scarf and program from that.
these are 2 of my fav "celebrity pics"--that is Chris Young and daughter Julie--don't bother to critique that was just p&s quick.

Now that's creative writing. As much of a smartass as I am I don't think I can top that! When I do you'll find it here. As for now your the king. No, not Elvis or M Jackson.
Have you ever thought of writing for Letterman? He needs help these days.

When I was 15 yrs old, my family and I was passing thru Memphis. Elvis was only 21 and just starting to become famous. I was a real fan and president of his Indianapolis fan club. We knew where he lived, so my father took me over there. His Dad was out working in the yard....I thought it was the gardener. I approched him and struck up a conversation. He was so kind and invited me up to the house. His Mom came out and greeted me and invited Dad and I into the house for iced tea. Elvis had just left to sign a contract to make his first movie, Love me tender. She wanted us to stay and wait for him, but Dad did not want to intrude. So we left after we had taken some photos. It was a most memorable day. Later that evening, we attended a gospel sing and Elvis who was a lover of gospel music was there sitting in the balcony. At the intermission, I approached him and got his autograph and had a nice conversation with him. Wonderful memories!!

When stationed in Germany in '71 I took a photo of the Mona Lisa inside the Louvre. When I got the prints back I knew something was off... they printed the film backwards so Mona was looking the other way.
