I'm not sure yet. It seems kind of overwhelming but I think I will like it. I know I like that the desperate for boyfriend Asian girl soft porn pic is no longer showing up. That was tacky.

Some will love it, some will hate it. I think for most of us it will be a question of developing a comfort level for the new design and figuring out to accomplish what we want to do and how we view and share our photos. Initially it looks promising, but I'll reserve my opinion until I've had a chance to play with it.

Scott: Just recently I signed on to Flickr. I need help.
1. Please tell me--step by simple step--How do I get my pix from PICASA to FLICKR. ( I asked Flickr and got no response.)
2 Turn on computer. Go to Picasa. Do this. Do that....
3. Thanks
Alyn

I googled for you.

1. First, import all your photos into Picasa, and add captions, like location, date, and any explanation of what's going on and where you are. (Especially useful for vacation photos.)
2. Now, drag and drop the photos you want to publish on Flickr into a Picasa album.
3. Once your album is complete and you're ready to upload, select all the photos in the album to publish and press the "Export" button.
4. Onpen up the Flickr Uploader. Browse to the folder where you exported the photos, select them all, and drag and drop them to the uploader. The titles of the images will be the photo file names.
5. Hit the "Upload photos" button.

What I do is the images I want to upload to Flickr from Picasa is
1) Do any post processing I need to do to them & then select the photo usin the little green arrow (?) at the bottom of the screen (it will say "hold selected items" if you hover the mouse over it) By clicking it, you will keep that image in the group.
2) do that for all of the images you want to put on Flickr.
3) then go to the "Export" tab on the bottom of the screen & click it. It will bring up another window asking you where to send the images (I use a desktop folder that I use as it makes the images easier to find) It will also ask you for a name for the folder the images will appear in & also it asks what image quality level you want them & whether or not you want a watermark on the images.
4) Once the images are exported to the folder that you made, then open Flickr
5) in Flickr, click on the "upload" tab at the top of the screen
6) from there, navigate to the folder you put the images in, select them, add any tags, titles, etc
7) lastly, select the upload image tab. It may take a little while depending on the number of images you are uploading & how many others are doing the same thing at the same time, when it's done, it will open to the images on your photostream...

I have been wondering for awhile how you drag and drop things when you can only see one page/site at a time? I use Google Chrome and cannot find a way to show more than one page at a time. Help anyone?

I changed my desktop Flckr link to open on my 'Recent Activity' page, so I am now happy. I do miss the maps that used to accompany each photo. Flickr is definitely a different lay-out now.

Right click on Flickr desktop "shortcut";
Left click on 'Properties';
Copy & Paste "http://www.flickr.com/activity " into URL box.
