Definitely a special image! VERY, VERY well thought out and photographed. Fits well with an early cup of Joe on this Monday.

Thank you CanonShot for your comment about my ‘olde master still life’.
I would like just to say because our Hi Jack rule I decided to post this image under my own avatar. This was taken on the 07-02-2012. It is just to highlight my endeavour at this difficult topic. For the record I think it is still wanting, the lighting is too even although I was using natural window lighting.

I had noticed the Orange still life by ghorse yesterday. I admire the attempt at this type of still life, and it provoked me to remember my own humble effort.

I have no idea what the "Hi Jack" rule is but I am so glad you posted this still life. I think it is very old world looking, brings lots of good thoughts to mind for me. I think it beautifully done. Thank you for sharing! :)

Thank you ghorse for your comment, I believe the topic is very difficult and I would love to repeat sometime when I have a greater selection of fruit.

I like this and think it is well lit so it does not appear flat and one dimensional. Nice colors. well done.

Thanks Steve natural daylight is so soft and diffused. The peculiar thing is my image changes dependant on the angle of my monitor; I am using a laptop at the moment. The olde world look is improved dependant on the defraction of light.

Firstly enjoy your pears Robert.
You have an whole summer to enjoy outdoors pursuits, butterflies, dragonflies, birdlife, ancient and modern architecture etc.
Then put this subject on your long list of too do's; for that fabulous autumnal light we get. In the mean time I must do some Pre Raphaelite study into their fruit types.
