Has anyone had experience with Digital Closeout? I am interested, because their prices are usually 33% or more, less
than typical retail on the net.

1. You can try the "search facility above"

http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-92176-1.html

2. Google them

3. Perhaps adding a Please..."Has anyone had experience with Digital Closeout? I am interested, because their prices are usually 33% or more, less
than typical retail on the net." Thank you

especially on your very first post.

Welcome

There is one very negative report on Ripoff Report:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/closeoutdigital/san-jose-california-95123/closeoutdigital-digitaldepotonline-visa-declined-vendor-san-jose-california-994933

The address they give is actually listed on the MLS in San Jose and is currently a gift shop!

Not sure that I would do any business with them :?:

Just do a search for IR here on the UHH, it will have all the information you need and then some.
Also try http://www.lifepixel.com for good info.

Normally this is the type of stores that are advised against. Generally these stores know very little about cameras.

If it looks too good to be true it normally is. The big three are normally close in pricing for a reason. There is a reason most of us buy from them and it is not just the prices. They know what they are doing and know the equiptment they are selling, and don't forget their return policies.

I have heard bad things about them, both here and elsewhere. I think they buy up factory returns in bulk and resell them. Not for sure on that, though. Use caution dealing with anyone offering something that sounds too good to be true.

'If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is' applies well to this company. This company caught my eye for the same reason it caught yours. However, a little research later, I was done with them.

So why are you on JR1's case, all he did was offer an response and asked for the use of please and thank you (just like he always does). I think someone else needs to lighten up if this got you all up in arms.

It's easy to be tempted with this sort of ploy. I've been in sales for many years and often see these deals in many market sectors. Advice is; always beware of cheap deals when all or most of the known reputable dealers (who have high feedback reports) are of a similar price in identical products. The catch, and there usually is one, is never obvious.

Reputable dealers/good feedback = total piece of mind and that's worth paying extra.
