Now that's what is all about carlysue. You have a very nice eye for art...and used your camera to capture this very lovely setting. Part of being a good photographer is capturing the moment. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of getting the lighting right, or camera settings perfect. You always hope you can...but girl, you captured a special moment. And for that...I tip my hat. I could only wish for moments like these. Wonderful and heart warming image Carlysue.

Well that just made my evening, James56! Thank you for looking again!

I love this Carlysue. The lighting and composition serve your purposes beautifully to focus on the listener in this very artistic piece.

Thank you, Vicki. Your stuff inspires me. You capture "moods" very well.

Great shot carlysue, really conveys a very tender moment. Reminds me of the work of Mary Cassatt, american born artist, who lived many years in France, and exibitted with the impressionists. She and Berthe Morisot were the two most important female artists in the impressionism movement. She painted women and most importanly the relationship between mother and child. Very well done

Gregory, the art piece that inspired me was a work by J.J. Shannon, "Jungle Tales". On the painting, it says 1873 but I have noted there are other dates this is attributed to. His works are wonderful and eclectic.

Carlysue, excellent composition on this one. In my opinion, you might try and bring up the light on the young girl, you have managed to capture her perfectly now lets see her. At the same time, try and drop the light across your story teller's back. Depending on your PP program you might be able to do this without having to re-shoot. Either way what a fabulous shot! You have an amazing way of conveying your ideas, I just LOVE IT! Thank you for sharing.

more about the listener than the story teller. Inspired by an art piece I have seen in the past.

Oh Carlysue, you've done gone and done it. You've created a masterpiece. I don't think it could get much better. WOW.

Thank you, Susyseek2. I appreciate that and she is fun to work with. That's the nice thing, too, about digital. I can promise her that she can do a few snaps when we're done and then either keep or not.
